Doctor Training: Gold Coast 2018

At the Australian Skin Skills Education and Training held at Surfer’s Paradise on the Gold Coast, Dr David Ong was an invited speaker. He taught Cosmetic Practitioners the preparation and use of platelet rich plasma (PRP). Platelet rich plasma aka the “vampire facial” is an innovative therapy that involves rejuvenating the face with one’s own platelets. Firstly a small amount of the patients blood is extracted and centrifuged to separate the plasma. The plasma is then used to stimulate the skin cells responsible for the production of collagen and elastin. Collagen stimulation remains a key focus of Dr David Ong’s in-clinic treatments.
